Color Collection For RomaBio®
Introducing 14 New Colors Curated by Kindred Vintage
Known for her impeccable and whimsical style, Susan Daggett, the creative force behind Kindred Vintage, has put together a timeless Interior Paint color collection exclusively for RomaBio.
The Kindred Vintage Color Collection was curated to help you achieve a neutral and welcoming aesthetic, inspired by the breathtaking beauty of Chicago’s famous skyline, Susan’s love of art, and passion for creative details. With thousands of colors at her disposal and hundreds of ideas on her mind, Susan used her family’s “new” 150+ year-old farmhouse on the outskirts of the Windy City to establish the core elements of this beautiful palette – which includes a few Limited Edition colors.

About The Collection
Susan was able to bring the unique beauty of RomaBio paints to life in her much loved Kindred Vintage design style and has truly established a new way to decorate boldly while remaining in a neutral palette.
Gallery White will help you achieve Susan’s signature, bright white walls – the perfect canvas for your creativity. Step out of your comfort zone and mimic Susan’s stunning painted trim and doors, creating a sophisticated contrast for your white walls with Windy City.
Dusty Blush was directly inspired by the antique stain glass kitchen window, original to the home. The perfect, soft neutral shade with just a hint of color, it’s perfect as a subtle accent or to create an inviting room.
“Designing spaces where family and friends can gather and feel at home is what I enjoy doing most.”
Here's The 14 Color Collection
More Than Just Beautiful Color
High Performing & Easy To Use
Our paints are sold in a concentrated formula, requiring you to mix with water prior to usage. By reducing the amount of water from our paints permits any painter to adjust the thickness of paint to achieve the most ideal application for wood, drywall, brick, stucco, and stone, and at the same time we reduce our global carbon footprint by 40%. The technical data-sheet can be found here.
Asthma Free and Hypoallergenic
We are the only paint in the world that is certified by toxicologists to be Asthma Free, Hypoallergenic and that does not contribute to Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). RomaBio paints are also Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver, guaranteeing that they meet the highest health and environmental standards in the world.
No Off-Gassing, Zero VOC’s & Low Carbon Footprint
Our mineral paints do not have biocides, glycol, VOC and TVOC in measurable quantities that would off-gas and cause harm to our atmosphere or the interior of your home. This means you can safely occupy the same space you are applying paint during and immediately after application.
Extreme Durability, Naturally Mold-Resistant
Mineral paints are micro-crystalline as they cure to form a more durable coating. Durable coatings mean less frequent applications that save you time and money. Because of the high alkalinity and natural open hexagonal structure, our paints are naturally mold-resistant and perfect for basements, kitchens, or bathrooms. Unlike acrylic paints that can trap moisture and air, our paints are highly permeable (breathable), allowing your house to breath naturally. This helps to reduce moisture build-up, mold, and bacterial growth that can form both on the inside and outside of your home.
Natural Ingredients Provide Luminous Colors
Mineral paints are not an acrylic emulsion but rather a mineral paint film. Our paints, tinted with natural oxide tint colors, are more vibrant, refract under natural light and consequently are more luminous as light sparkles on a mineral surface. Using RomaBio Mineral Paints will completely change the aura in your home, providing well being both for your home, your family and our planet!
Why Susan Chose RomaBio
For almost two years Susan has been working with RomaBio to achieve a timeless and also modern look to her homes. Early on Kindred Vintage was one of the first designer brands to feature an exterior home makeover to her former Chicago brick home using RomaBio Classico Limewash in Bianco White. Apart from the artistic flexibility of the Limewash paint, Susan fell in love with the flat, chalky, luxurious finish achieved by our Italian mineral paint formula. Realizing she had found a high-quality paint made from non-chemical ingredients that were good for her home, her family, and her design aesthetic, Susan became a believer in mineral paint.
As she and her husband Rob moved their family into their dream house, they realized they had to use the best products that would stand the test of time in durability and beauty. A new home meant a new clean slate for Susan, at RomaBio we felt Susan’s creative energy and visionary design aesthetic would be the ideal combination for curating a timeless and eye-popping color collection with broad market appeal.
“We are so honored to have been given the opportunity to curate the Kindred Vintage Color Collection for you and help introduce to the world to RomaBio’s Interior Paint line. Like their masonry paints, RomaBio Interior Paint is also Italian-sourced, high-quality mineral paint that is people, pet, and environmentally friendly. Creating beautiful spaces with products developed by a company committed to eco-sustainable manufacturing is important to me. This collection is a creative gift, from my family to yours.”
Susan’s Top 5 Most Versatile Colors
Gallery White is the absolute perfect white. It serves as the ideal backdrop to any space and is really my signature color inspired by Classico Limewash in Bianco White, which I used on the exterior of my first home and fell in love. I enjoy using this as the main color throughout our home because it serves as a neutral foundation for any decor.
This color was inspired by our two daughters. I love how the color has a subtle hint of blush which is very versatile and goes in any room. We used Dusty Blush in our daughters’ bedroom to soften the atmosphere, creating a joyful but calm vibe. We also painted our kitchen breakfast nook in Dusty Blush, since it complimented our original stained glass window so perfectly.
Misty Gray was inspired by the beauty of the early morning mist we often see here during the fall and spring months in Illinois. There is so much light that pours into this particular bathroom, it is the perfect color to create that relaxing, ethereal feeling – like you’re surrounded by a beautiful gray mist.
Enchanted was created to help set a mood. I love to tell stories with my decor and create whimsical settings for my girls and guests. If you have the right balance of light -whether natural or man-made – darker colors can create the most enchanted feeling in any size room.
Chicago Ink is the perfect black with a hint of blue reminiscent of the famous Chicago publications’ ink color. It’s ideal as an accent wall for any room. We chose to use it on our main fireplace* to create a major architectural statement in our otherwise traditional space. Chicago Ink is currently a Limited Edition color option.
*We used a high gloss topcoat over the fireplace to give it an extra bit of glam.
“My motto is to fill your home with only the things that you absolutely adore, whether they be old or new, because those things represent you and your family, and that my friend, is what truly makes just any old house a home. I’m excited for you to have the opportunity to use my color collection in your own home. I can’t wait to see what you do!” – ❤️ Susan
About Kindred Vintage
Susan and husband Rob are raising their two little girls on the outskirts of the Windy City. After purchasing their first fixer-upper in February of 2014, which involved many months of major renovations, the Kindred Vintage brand was born. Since then, the Daggetts have purchased their second home, and are busy turning this gorgeous 1856 Victorian Farmhouse into a forever home – with lots of RomaBio paint, of course!
“These walls hold many stories and we are so blessed to be creating many more memories here! My passion for design started at a very young age when I would rearrange my childhood bedroom. This passion blossomed throughout the years, especially since becoming a homeowner. Designing spaces where family and friends can gather and feel at home is what I enjoy doing most.”
