Classico Limewash brings updates to a 2,500-year-old historical slaked lime process giving you artistic freedom to create charming Old World, antique finish, or modern looks with a fresh coat of paint.

Classico Limewash is made from Dolomite-sourced lime from northern Italy and is slaked, aged like a fine wine, and then specially formulated to slowly patina. Designed for unpainted, absorbent brick or stone for the interior or exterior, it can be washed off for an antique effect exposing as little or as much brick as you want.

Authentic limewash is breathable and calcifies unpainted brick and masonry surfaces becoming hard like a rock, while still allowing moisture to evaporate, working naturally with the surface, and will not chip, peel or flake off. Limewash is healthy for you and the environment. It has little to no odor, Zero VOC, and safe for you, pets, and the planet.
Classico Limewash is formulated to last, but to protect your beautiful new exterior limewash finish and extend the life of the paint application, we recommend applying our Mineral Shield for additional protection and no chalking.
Choose the color and look you want without stress!
Since Classico Limewash is meant to be washed off or distressed in the first 2-days following application, you can easily test it before deciding your final look. Apply to a small area and play with the look you want. You can always wash it all the way off for a clean slate.
For colors, Classico Limewash can only be tinted in light to medium tones. Romabio offers seven curated whites, beiges, and neutrals in our Classico Color Collection that will match the aesthetic of most homes. These colors are available online at Lowe’s and Home Depot. Or, if you want to color match and create a custom tint, pick up Classico Limewash at a local independent retailer.

Touch ups are also easy because Classico Limewash has a very flat finish. It is not recommended as a solid, opaque finish as it will patina over time depending on weather and exposure.
