The easy-to-apply Classico Limewash is made from Dolomite-sourced lime from northern Italy and is slaked, aged like a fine wine, and then specially formulated to slowly patina. Designed for unpainted, absorbent brick or stone for the interior or exterior, it can be washed off for an antique effect exposing as little or as much brick as you want.

Classico Limewash is formulated to last, but to protect your beautiful new exterior limewash finish and extend the life of the paint application, we recommend applying our Mineral Shield for additional protection and no chalking.

Choose the color and look you want without stress!
Since Classico Limewash as a lime paint from Italy is meant to be washed off or distressed in the first 2-days following application, you can easily test it before deciding on your final look. Apply to a small area and play with the look you want. You can always wash it all the way off for a clean slate.
For colors, Classico Limewash can only be tinted in light to medium tones. Romabio offers seven curated whites, beiges, and neutrals in our Classico Color Collection that will match the aesthetic of most homes. These colors are available online at Lowe’s and Home Depot. Or, if you want to color match and create a custom tint, pick up Classico Limewash at a local independent retailer.

Touch-ups are also easy because Classico Limewash has a very flat finish. It is not recommended as a solid, opaque finish as it will patina over time depending on weather and exposure.
