Top 5 Paint Color Trends for 2024
#1 Off-Whites
The days of painting everything white are gone. People are craving a little more depth and the perfect way add it is by using off-whites as a primary paint color. This allows you to play with other colors in the room using your rugs or pillows or paint an accent side table a deeper color. Off-whites are a timeless choice for almost any Exterior. To achieve maximum depth, texture and movement use an Interior Limewash finish like Romabio Venetian Glaze (Main image, in a custom off white tint, applied by Shelley Bates of @ShelleyBatesHome). Off-whites are also ideal for limewashed walls, like this modern rustic bedroom makeover featuring another Interior Limewash finish with Romabio Velatura Mineralwash in a custom, off-white tint.
Favorite Romabio Off-Whites are top-seller Avorio White, and trending Cristallo White.
#2 Dark & Moody
So much has been talked about darker colors trending this year and we couldn’t agree more. We love the dark and moody look as it is sophisticated, modern, and luxurious. You could use this color in one of our limewash paints to add even more drama and moodiness.
Romabio dark and moody colors are Blue Ridge Parkway (a favorite from @BlesserHouse Lauren featured in her dining room, pictured below), top-seller Celtic Stone, and or Navy Steel.

#3 Nature Inspired
This paint trend comes from renowned designer, Becki Owens who we love collaborating with. On her blog, she details how you can achieve this paint trend and shares photos of her recent projects.
Decorating with warm, earthy tones or cool blues and warm browns, and taking a cue from nature means you can’t go wrong. This includes using organic materials and mineral-based paints like Romabio. One of Becki’s favorite colors is Romabio Cristallo White, pictured here applied to stacked stone.
Romabio paint colors that compliment this trend are Carolina Sky, Instant Chateau, or Cristallo White.
#4 Green
Green is the new black. This 2024 trending paint color is everywhere! The color green is simple, nature inspired, and goes with everything. We love all the shades and uses of this versatile color and how it can be a neutral or dark and moody. It’s everyone’s favorite go-to hue for the trending, modern European-style limewash walls everyone is crazy about. This adds both a pop of color and sophistication to any room.
A beautiful Romabio green is MidSummer like Jen Fancher of the popular @NotingGrace blog used as an Interior limewash accent wall.
Houston-based Romabio Preferred PRO, Douglas Ardon of DA Paint Service) used Velatura Mineralwash in a green custom tint to to achieve a designer look in this living room!
#4 French Blue
Blue is another trending paint color for 2024 that can be used as a neutral to compliment the Interior and Exterior. It’s bold and classic and, like green, has several variations making it a flexible design option. Romabio owner, Leslie Aiken, loves the French blue trend, and used it on her kitchen cabinets. But we always love timeless navy blues, like Romabio Navy Steel are trending on exteriors. Designer Sara McDaniel of @simplysoutherncottage used Romabio Masonry Flat in Navy Steel on the exterior of one of her most popular cottage renovation projects. This is a trending, top selling Romabio blue.
Additional blues we can’t get enough of are Benjamin Moore’s classic Van Courtland Blue and Gentleman’s Gray.
